Really lovely hostel, pool is great and Luis, the owner, is really lovely and happy to help with anything. He ordered a taxi for me, and it was way cheaper than if I had ordered one for myself. Rooms are clean, get soap and a fresh towel with your stay and the AC works VERY well

I stopped in David on the road between Panama City and Manuel Antonion in Costa Rica. Bambu Hostel was the perfect place to break the journey, and Luis, the manager is just awesome! So kind, friendly and welcoming. He's full of advice, and really made the stay an enjoyable one! The rooms are ample and the bed was comfortable. The location is a little distant from the centre HOWEVER it's about 100m from a bus stop on the main highway towards Paso Canoa, the Costa Rican border - so it was perfect! There's also a big supermarket nearby with a pleasant cafeteria. The outdoor entertaining area with a pool looked awesome as well, but I arrived late and it was the rainy season, so I didn't use it.

Hostel with basic rooms. Staff were very welcoming and kind, and the big bonus was the swimming pool which was great for my young son. Location was fine. It did not matter it was out of the town centre, David has uber. It was close to a supermarket. The place had a friendly vibe among other guests.
