It is impossible to describe how Peter and his family made us feel at home. Wonderful people,always ready to help,give advice,and introduce us to the local culture. Besides that, the accommodation is just perfect with a central location and a magnificent view of the Himalayan mountain range. The rooms are spacious also with mountain views. Definitely try their culinary delicacies, they alone are worth a visit. Thank you for everything,we could not have been better.

The house is located away from all the hustle and bustle of the main town. In my opinion it is the right distance from town as it isn't too far away that it becomes difficult to travel, and it's just far enough away from the noise and chaos of the town. The views of the mountains, the valley, and the sunsets from the balcony and terrace of the property are exceptional. You get stunning views of Mt Kanchenjunga and the range, whenever weather permits. Moreover, you get good, clean, home cooked food twice a day (breakfast and dinner) as long as you inform early. There are quite a few cafes in a radius of 1km from the house as well. The whole house is well maintained, the room is good and comfortable and the bathroom is clean. The owner, Peter Sir (and his family), is kind, humble, and caring. He can guide you on places that you can visit and will help you with how to get there, etc. I enjoyed every bit of my stay at Dawn homestay. It felt like my home away from home. By the time I left, I felt I was a part of their family, and was truly sad that I was leaving. I will definitely go back whenever I am in Darjeeling again.

The host Peter is welcoming and helpful. Rooms are compact and comfortable. Decent view of Kanchenjunga from the property. Being a bit away from crowd towards North point, it's peaceful.
