What a find this was, a small little village on the outskirts of Courmayeur. Despite a cold snap this house was very warm, no heating required. The kitchen was small but workable and the second bedrooms passaged through the Main bedroom. We just put this down to the time it was built. Communication with the owner was great and he was happy for us to arrive at 1pm well in advance of our check in time. There were free buses down the road to move you around Courmayeur.

The house is full of history and at the same time equipped with all the facilities for a comfortable stay. It is located in La Saxe, a small village in the continuation of Courmayeur, but this location is an advantage because La Saxe is an incredibly beautiful place, surrounded by a dream landscape. 2 mountain trails pass in front of the house, which was to be expected, considering that the house belonged to the great Emile Rey :)

Lovely location and property full of character. The owner was very friendly. Had everything we needed for a short stay and the deckchairs on the balcony were a great addition to enjoy the evening sun.
