It is a standard hostel, same as the photos, no more, no less. cleanliness is ok. the room is a bit dark, not much natural light, and the room light is dim. The bathroom is clean, shower is strong and hot. Bed is comfortable and blanket is warm. Many hooks for hanging clothes.

The hostal is about 1 km from the train station and NE from centro. It is walking distance to tendillas (1 km) and to the mezquita (2 km), with the advantage that the area is quiet and not crowded with tourists. Over Easter, that proved very convenient: no procesiones nearby. Entrance to room with safe code which worked perfectly. The single room was simple but has everything I needed: bed (mattress a bit too hard), good pillow, private bathroom with good shower, amenities, and a TV I did not use. There was AC for hotter days. No wardrobe, just a shelf with hangers - which for 3 days was OK. Very clean, daily room service, friendly personnel with good advice for breakfast nearby (good and for 4 EUR). Altogether, good and recommended for the price.

It's okay, it's not modern, but gives you the privacy of your own bathroom, and a relaxed athmosphere. Some of the rooms have a terrace, while others don't.. The quality might vary accordingly. (I have stayed there before, in both types. First with, and later without; that latter room also had a the noise from the airconditioners turbine straight outside the window.) It gives the option of choosing smoking, or non- smoking rooms (if availability). This time, upon my arrival, I asked if they had a room with a terrace, and she gave me one with a rather big terrace, which was very nice. (Though it gives you the noise from the traffic on the road below, but.) Has airconditioner- most important in the summer in Córdoba- and heating. Local cafes and supermarkets nearby, They help you with the luggage in the stairs if needed (given there is someone suited for the task available). I think they could have benefited from having had a fridge and a microwave maybe available for guest use, but. (especially fridge, in the summer, but this lack goes for a lot of places.) There is a park nearby that can be nice to have your coffee, or there are cafes, or the buses straight outside the door. And they keep your luggage after check out, if needed. I think my score would have been between 7 and 8, and maybe not a full 8, but the grades are what they are.
