3 bedroom apartments in Colombo cater for groups or families of 5, 6, 7 and sometimes up to 8 guests. A typical configuration would be two guests per room for comfortable sleeping of up to 6 guests. Sofa-beds or roll-away bed options are available at some hotels which can increase the maximum number of guests from 6 to up to 7 or 8 (no comment on how comfy the sofa is, it varies a lot!)
For families with more than the average 2.2 kids (that's old, it's 1.8 kids per family today) 3 bedroom apartments are a great option, or the only option when compared to splitting the family up to fit into the standard hotel room.

Also bedding is often flexible, often you can request your preferred bedding configuration at the time of booking.
