I was expecting a comfortable and pleasant stay, but unfortunately, The Deutz didn’t fully meet my expectations. Upon arrival, I experienced an awkward moment at reception – I stood directly in front of the front desk for several uncomfortable seconds, but the gentleman working there didn’t lift his head or acknowledge me in any way until I initiated contact. That lack of basic hospitality left a poor first impression. The room was not fully clean on arrival – the bathroom had visible dirt in several areas, and the hallway leading to the room was also dirty, apparently due to ongoing construction work. Throughout the stay, housekeeping service was very basic: towels were replaced and the bin was emptied, but clean glasses and cups were never restocked. There were also several maintenance issues in the room, such as a broken toilet paper holder, unfinished wall tiling in the bathroom, and a bathtub without a stopper – meaning it could only be used as a shower. Breakfast was decent overall, but some of the items gave the impression of being taken straight out of jars or cans, rather than being freshly prepared. All in all, the hotel has potential, but it currently falls short when it comes to service, cleanliness, and attention to detail.

Excellent staff, our room was nice and comfortable. It was awesome that we were near public transportation, and therefore no car was needed to get into the city. Everything was fine, breakfast was enjoyable and the bar personnel were super friendly. We will be back! Thank you very much....
