The accommodation was out of the main centre but a short taxi/uber ride was not a problem. We really enjoyed the lovely grape vine covered patio where breakfast was served directly outside our room. A very generous breakfast was provided with some of the items grown in the adjoining organic garden. A sociable area where it was easy to meet other guests. The pool was very pleasant and refreshing after a day of visiting all the interesting places in the old town. A freshly baked cake was appreciated each afternoon. The owner was extremely nice and very helpful.

We LOVED the Oryza Guest House and Suites. We stayed in the king bed suite which was especially lovely and comfortable. After travelling from Porto this space was quite the respite - beautiful, quiet, excellent breakfasts, and great little refreshing pool to take a dip. The staff - especially Edgar - were so friendly and helpful. Recommendations were excellent! While you can’t really walk into downtown Coimbra from here, Edgar will give you directions to nearby free parking or it is easy to Uber. Would absolutely stay here again!

The welcome was superb - we were made to feel very welcome with a drink and homemade cake on arrival and a tour around the property. Our room was exceptional - and the grounds of this guest house beautiful. The owners and wider staff were so friendly. Breakfast was simple - but simply perfect. We loved it! Excellent value for money.
