We had a nice experience at this homestay in Chongqing. The host and her sister were kind, accommodating, and responsive. Although our flight arrived at 3:00 AM and check-in was officially from 2:00 PM, the host kindly allowed us to come and settle in right away, which we greatly appreciated after a long 10 hour flight. The next day, we were given the option to choose from other available rooms, and we picked a spacious one with a beautiful view. The kitchen was equipped with a fridge, kettle and mugs – we didn’t need anything more, as the apartment is located in the heart of everything. It was easy to find great options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea, or coffee nearby at very reasonable prices. The bathroom was older, but a major plus was the washing machine, which was very convenient for our longer stay. The host was extremely helpful – when I needed an iron, she brought one along with an ironing board within 5 minutes. When I mentioned I didn’t have a charging cable, one was lent to me almost immediately. Thank you.

Please reach out to the host after the booking, as there are many options to choose from. She will then invite you over WeChat, and then you can choose your room interior. We had two options to choose from, and the one we chose was a decent-sized apartment. The bed was super comfy, and it had a big window too. The listing says kitchen where we can cook meals, but basically, you can only microwave the food or make tea or coffee. The kitchen was not fully equipped or clean enough to use. The bathroom was small, but we did not have any issues. The host was very kind. The building is old and has two elevators but we never had to wait for more than 5 minutes. There are many shops and restaurants around.

The apartment was clean and had an amazing view. Its location was perfect, offering copious street food merely metres from the building and many tourist attractions were within 10 minutes of walking. Additionally, the metro station was only a 5 minute walk and it could take you to all the other attractions quickly. This place has a western sitting toilet, running hot water and good WiFi. The owners are reachable by WeChat and are available to answer all your questions very quickly. On top of this, the price is good. I highly recommend this place.
