The cottage is wonderful and full of character. Peter, the owner, has provided everything you could possibly need to make your stay memorable and the continental breakfast was exceptional. The location was central to so many places we wanted to see and we will have to return to see them all. Peter gave us plenty of information regarding what we might like to visit which was very helpful. We would heartily recommend Coxleigh House to anyone thinking of visiting the area.

A very quiet location. A nice property with lots of character. Bedroom warm. Bed comfortable. Plenty of electrical sockets. Plenty of hot water. Fast Wi-Fi. Basic items for an adequate breakfast left in kitchen. You may not meet the host; entry instructions will be sent to you - it worked fine for me. Plenty of restaurant options in Matlock, less than ten minutes away.

Peter left us the perfect supplies for a lovely breakfast each morning. The cottage is more adorable and cosy than the pictures. The kitchen is wonderful if you're hoping to cook your own meals. It was our first time using an Aga, but Peter showed us the ropes and it was super easy. It's just a gorgeous little cottage in a wonderfully quiet area, with a pub less than 5 minutes walk away.

Excellent facilities, There was a great selection of food for breakfast. Peter was very helpful and had useful advice about local restaurants and attractions.
