Ivan’s (man behind the bar) service was exceptional, along with the woman who was the manager ( apologies as I didn’t catch her name.) We had just completed a very long trip to get there and they were wonderful in organising an easy check in and a delicious meal without a long wait. So appreciative!

The bed was comfortable. Hot water in shower. Air con was nice and cold. Great walking distance to places.

Great location in the heart of town. Onsite parking. Friendly and attentative staff. Excellent food, although there where two steaks on the menu not available on a Friday night. Wine list was very limited. Only perhaps one choice of Sav Blanc and no chardonnay at all. At $175/night for accommodation at a country hotel we would expect shampoo/conditioner and tissues provided. Overall a good experience. We would stay at the Rix Hotel again.
