I loved everything about this Grand mansion. I came across this place by accident as I was looking to stay in Harleston Village. A renovated former mansion - it pretty much fulfilled any fantasy you may have about a "Downton Abbey" experience, american style!! A breathtakingly grand entrance, the library, parlour, sunroom for pre dinner drinks, a copula for beautiful views of Charleston. Breakfast is in the former stables, spa services.and so on. My own room(s) were on the lower floor, "servant quarters", I thought at first hmm no view, however my rooms (!) made up for this -huge bedroom , sitting room, dressing room and bathroom-jacuzzi & double shower...I felt very grand, more like Lady Mary as opposed to Mrs Hughes. The staff were very professional and offered wonderful service, if I had stayed longer I think my pre dinner drinks would have been already served as I entered the room - Bryan and the team were wonderful. This is a very unique place. It is situated 'far from the madding crowd', yet a short drive to the hustle and bustle of downtown Charleston. I look forward to a future visit.
