The room and bathroom was clean. Room is not big, but it met my expectations considering the price I paid for the stay. I travelled alone and it was just me there for the first days when I arrived. The hosts however are super friendly so that made up for the lack of people, one of them even offered to show me around Nungwi - which I of course thankfully accepted! The kitchen was clean and well equiped, they have a very nice rooftop with view over the village and a pretty good sunset! The hostel is located on the main street, and as others have mentioned it can be a bit loud. Personally I don't have a problem with that, but if you require it to be silent then it can be an issue. Safety wise I walked alone up and down the main steet at night a couple of times (not too far) and didn't feel unsafe as there are lots of poeple and most of them are friendly - I would probably not walk alone around in the village at night. During the day I walked everywhere, sometimes alone, but didn't feel unsafe anywhere.

This place is super affordable, with all the equipment you need, shared kitchen with all the stuff, rooftop where you can easily do barbecue, village view included!

Great value for money, cheapest place we found in Zanzibar. The shared kitchen is spotless with good cooking utensils. Room is basic but very comfortable for what you are paying. It's in the heart of the town, chill on the rooftop and just watch the local life, it's brilliant! Plenty of cheap food stalls around as well We loved our stay!
