The host was at the apartment on our arrival - he handed over the keys, talked us through how everything worked. He explained the neighbourhood, how to reach the local attractions like the old town, harbour and beaches. There were bottles of water in the fridge and a bottle of lovely wine from Crete for us to enjoy on our arrival. The hosts parents in law lived down stairs - they were so kind and friendly, and provided some home made treats for us to sample (a lovely cake one day and a yummy omelette on morning). The apartment was so clean, modern with beautiful décor. Lovely large bathroom with a washing machine. The kitchen was clean and modern with great appliances. Dishes and cutlery where stylish and plentiful - large wine glasses and large drinking glasses. The air con was amazing (and much needed as Chania was very hot). The bedrooms had beautiful décor, the beds were king size and extremely comfortable. There is a good sized balcony which is very private, lots of space to dry clothing discretely, plenty of space to sit out and enjoy the morning and evenings. The balcony has 2 modern canopies that can be extended and retracted easily - this way you can enjoy the sun or the shade. The property has lovely plants and a mature citrus tree. The location of the apartment was brilliant - 10 minute walk to the harbour, the old town, the city beach, the bus station, main shopping district and a large supermarket. We enjoyed staying in this property so much - what made our stay so special was the host Matthaios. He was very kind and friendly, nothing was a problem. All our requests were met with a positive response - he was such a gracious host. I would recommend staying at this apartment to anyone visiting Chania - it felt like a home away from home. Chania is a beautiful city with very kind and caring people. Very easy access to beaches in Agia Marina and Platanias - just head to the main bus station.

First of all Matias! We couldn't have asked for a better host. He was available to us at any given moment with what ever we needed and more.second of all - location location location! Even though the apartment is not on a fancy old street its located exactly where you want it to be.its minutes away from the old city and harbour, minutes away from the new harbour and all its magnificent restaurants and minutes away from all the big shopping stores. How ever the apartment is quiet and peaceful. Its spacious and comfortable and well equipped . There's a little local supermarket on the street, a bakery and a coffee shop. Matias we thank you a lot ,we had a great time!

Very good location of the apartment: close to the beach, the center, supermarket, etc. The owner of the apartment deserves special praise: our flight arrived at night, but the owner still met us in the apartment, told us all the necessary information and was always in touch during the vacation if necessary.

Very clean and comfortable apartment with good location close to the beach and restaurants, a 10 min. walking distance from the old town. The house is renovated with very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and spacious bathroom. Host is friendly and helpful.
