we like everything about the Danaos hotel the location is fantastic right on beach and staff are very friendly the towels changed every 2 day and sheets every day the rooms cleaned every day

Great location. They aren't kidding when they advertise it as beachfront. Clean, simple room & great view from the balcony. The staff was very friendly. We took some cocktails in their bar, was served great & cocktails were on point. We couldn't believe it's just a 2 star, deserves more recognition.

Location is perfect. Beach is just in front of the hotel and you can easily walk to the Old Town. Lovely staff who looked after us very well.

We had a fantastic time at Hotel Danaos! The location is absolutely perfect – right on the beach, which made it easy to enjoy morning swims and sunset walks. It’s also just a 15-minute stroll to the charming old town of Chania, so we got the best of both worlds: beach relaxation and cultural exploration. The staff were incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and always ready to help with recommendations or anything we needed. They really made us feel welcome. The hotel offers great value for the money – comfortable, clean, and quiet rooms with perfectly working A/C, which was much appreciated during the warm days. Another big plus is the nearby parking lot, which made things super convenient. The bar is lovely – great for a relaxing drink in the evening. And we can’t forget the owner, Stathis – such a character! He’s interesting, charming, and full of stories that made our stay even more memorable.
