Inns Overview

Concept hotel Rakši is located 7 km from Cesis, in an ancient valley of the Gauja River, in the Camel Park Rakši. It offers accommodation in a house, as well as free access to the private zoo.
Each room offers a seating area and unique log beds. The bathrooms feature a hairdryer.
Camel riding, walks with llamas and excursions with carriages pulled by the gigantic Poitou donkeys from France can be arranged. Guests can enjoy free coffee/tea, sweets and use refrigerator in the common areas.

“Cozy stay with amazing animals”

Absolutely must visit place. Visiting the zoo during the opening hours is very cool, but having the option to walk around on the premises in the evening and getting to pet all the awesome animals is nothing I've gotten to do before. At one point a small goat wouldn't let me leave without a few more scratches :D The rooms are a bit basic, no air conditioning for example, so don't expect super comfortable stay, but the beds were comfy and the rooms and common area are very cozy. Definitely a bit different experience.

We stayed one night at Hotel Ratski. The setting is beautiful, the farm is charming, and the outdoor space is very pleasant. We were very close to the animals, and the decoration creates a lovely Moroccan atmosphere.

Very lovely hotel. Rooms are comfortable, beds and blankets warm and nice. Freely available kettle for tea and/or coffee. Very helpful staff. We travelled with a 2 year old and managed to find age appropriate potty. Generous breakfast which was a choice between sweet or savory pancakes with coffee and juice for the toddler. The zoo is available 24/7 if you're staying overnight, which was amazing.
