Anna was a very friendly host who already made efforts before we arrived: She asked about our arrival time and we were able to check in in the morning already. The room was comfortable, the air-conditioning was working and we could also always use the public space - the refrigerator and freezer were clean and there's even an extra faucet to fill your water bottles with drinking water before heading out into a hot summer day! The location is good (a lot of nice places are in walking distance). You only have to keep in mind that you will always walk for a bit to get around Catania because the public transport is not very reliable but for us that was a nice way to get to know the city better. Also, it doesn't take long to get from the hotel to Piazza Borsellino where most of the buses depart!

Clean room, good shower. Very large wardrobe. Filtered water available at all times. Selection of pastries, yoghurt, fruit juice, tea and coffee at breakfast. On same street as ancient theatre and very near Benedictine monastery and university. Good eateries around the corner from St Nicholas church. The owner spoke only Italian but we managed to communicate well despite my limited knowledge, and she was kind to wait for us to arrive late from the airport, and answered all calls and messages.
