We had a mixed experience staying in this apartment. The location, right above the fish market, is quite good, although the music at night can be quite loud. We stayed in the penthouse apartment, which is actually four flights of stairs up, so bear that in mind if traveling with luggage. We had a few minor issues with things like the bedroom smelling like stale cigarettes, the lack of natural light (due to many of the windows being small and/or at ankle level), and the low ceilings leading me to a mild concussion on the first day. With that being said, the kitchen is well-stocked, the shower is fantastic, and the location can’t be beaten. The owner was also communicative and helpful. We ended up leaving two days early in order to check out Ortigia, but that has more to do with not loving Catania than the apartment, which was fine, if not spectacular.

We stayed in a top floor apartment with one bedroom and a kitchenette. It was quite spacious and had almost everything we needed. The location was great - above the fish market, right in the center of Catania, with lots of great restaurants across the street and around the corner, a short walk to the Alibus stop.

Giuseppe was super accommodating even though I arrived veeery late and he opened the door remotely and was on the phone providing instructions to find the property. Really helpful. The house was clean and quiet and SUPER central, loved that I could walk anywhere. Perfect location to enjoy the beautiful Catania. There's other room in the property but we didn't hear anyone, the windows are quite thick and you can't hear the noisy streets when closed, but beware that the fish market is just underneath, so it's quite noisy very early in the morning
