The chalet is a very hold house which has been beautifully restored . The downstairs rooms are exquisite and our room was spacious and airy. The gardens are delightful with a perfect pool area. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The chalet is in a quiet, leafy area just a short walk from the beach and the nicest part of town, which has an enormous amount of restaurants and bars. Wouldn't hesitate to come back.

We felt so at home - definitely the best place we stayed during our time in Portugal! The breakfast was outstanding and the family who run the chalet are all really welcoming and lovely.

The breakfast on the terrace was wonderful each morning. There was a wide selection of hot and cold options including eggs, croissants, fresh orange juice, fruit salad and organic yoghurts. Best of all Maria baked a wonderful cake (or the best macaroons ever!) that we could help ourselves to, in the morning or throughout the day. The surrounding gardens are beautiful with the bonus of a pool far nicer in fact than we had expected. All very well designed. We wanted to have a relaxing week and Chalet Ficahlo was a perfect choice for this. It was so good to be able to just take a book and read by the pool. Maria and Ana were such lovely, helpful and warm people- this makes a huge difference when choosing a hotel. It really felt as if we were staying in their house; which we were! The bedrooms were quiet and the bathroom we had was fabulous. High quality materials and one of the best showers I have experienced.

What a wonderful experience staying at Chalet Ficalho. We were welcomed by Maria and her daughter and immediately felt at home. The Chalet is beautiful with all the facilities one could wish for to escape on holiday but be close to the beaches and restaurants. Highly recommend this stunning venue.
