Ability to enter and exit the premises without needing to go through reception and being able to just be alone if I wanted to. I had everything I needed in my room and didn't need to use any shared facilities if I didn't want to. I was able to sit out on the porch and eat my dinner overlooking the ocean or eat in the shared dining room and have a chat to the owners. The complimentary barista coffee offered to me when I sat with the owners on my first morning was better than any I'd bought from the local cafe's.
