The location of this hotel is excellent, being only a stones throw from the beautiful Lyabi House and lake. I liked the fact that the merchant’s house which houses the hotel has been preserved.

We had a wonderful time at Grand Nodirbek — the location couldn’t be better, just a minute’s walk from Lab-i Hauz Plaza, yet tucked away in a peaceful inner courtyard. The staff were incredibly friendly: they organised our transfer, provided a complimentary baby cot, and even arranged a fantastic half-day walking tour (be sure to ask for Rizo — he’s an excellent guide!). The hotel is housed in a beautifully preserved historical Jewish home, with an adjacent synagogue and a small private museum. They were happy to give us a complimentary tour and share the fascinating history of the Bukharan Jewish community, which was a real highlight.

Bukharan Jews - the owner, an Uzbek, bought several houses and united them, preserving the history of this place. Very friendly staff, the manager gave us a tour, kept asking if everything was okay. This boutique hotel is a real find for those who want not just to stay overnight, but to literally touch history!

The location, manager and breakfast were fine, also the museum inside the hotel was amazing.
