Our stay at this location was 3 weeks. It is on a quiet middle-income street. Our communication was with Darlene the cleaning lady, and she was nice and accessible. This house shows signs of age. The leather sofas have torn upholstery, and the cloth sofa was very low and uncomfortable. The décor was rather nice, though, and it was clean. There is a lovely high window in the living room. There is plenty of space for two couples to live or visit. The beds had foam toppers that tended to move around after a while. They were too soft for my liking but we still slept quite well. The lawn was mowed on the last day of our stay, making the backyard much more pleasant. There is a decent walking/biking trail two blocks away into some fields and toward the agriculture station. We enjoyed the golfing in the area. We enjoyed biking in Licks Creek Park (20 min. drive) and Lake Bryan (25 min drive.) We also enjoyed the music concerts at the university. The house had a few spices and cooking things. The oil smelled old. Very good hot water and pressure. Air traffic and train traffic are audible but not too bad. For the price we paid, as compared to other rentals, our expectations were a bit higher than reality (especially living room furniture) but overall it was okay. We had a good holiday.
