Brussels is very expensive, and accommodation is particularly expensive, so if you are price sensitive you will have to make compromises. This accommodation is one way to do that. Not five star, but very fair. Not centrally located, but very good traffic (beware: the R27 and R21 buses are operated by a different operator (De Lijn) than the 59 bus (STIB/MIVB), so you need a different ticket for them, but there are day tickets that are good for everything. (Hint: bus 12 (STIB/MIVB) takes you straight to the European Quarter from the Da Vinci stop - 3 stops.) There are many restaurants nearby (fast food and more traditional restaurants). There is a shop open late at night - good for basics. Key pick-up is very smooth, communication with the host is quick and easy. The room has a fridge and cooking facilities. Everything you need is there, although I had to buy shower gel the first day. But there are towels, hairdryer, iron, ironing board etc. The internet connection is reliable and fast. Connection is easy. Although it is near the airport and there are several major roads nearby, it is quiet at night and you can sleep well. (If you want to go by plane, it is perfect accommodation, but I spent here three nights and I found it OK).

Studio 5, ground floor was ideal as I did not have to worry about stairs with my luggage. The access controlled entrance door makes security a bit more top notch and there are security cameras everywhere inside too. Lights in the hallway are sensor/movement automated so you don't have to struggle to get light in the dark. Clean room and bedding, and a kitchenette with your basic tools + microwave, kettle and plate stove. The TV and Wi-Fi were working great. There's also a handy light switch by the bed and plenty of plugs. Shower water pressure was excellent 👌 Access to bus stations to airport and major train stations is easy, some of these stops are right at the front door. The bus to Brussels Airport collected me at 4:27 am and I was at the airport at 4:55 am, with good time to clear security for my early morning flight. There's a train station less than 200m away, but this was under maintenance whilst I was visiting. I've not spent much time in the neighbourhood but had lovely Turkish kebabs with all the trimmings at the friendly neighbourhood restaurant and takeaway spot. There are many different variety restaurants and takeaway places in less than 2 min walk from the apartment.

Really cosy apartment with everything you could need in a compact space, even having stuff like a toastie machine. Had a lovely bed, TV and a super clean bathroom. Such a great price for 3 nights in a major European city. Would recommend shopping at the Lidl down the road and grabbing a french taco from the O Tacos nextdoor, they're unreal.
