I have to say that I really enjoyed my stay at the California Guest House, the owners Andrea & Pete are a lovely couple, welcoming, friendly, extremely approachable and informative. I like to engage with landladies/landlords/staff about where to visit, where to eat and go for a quiet locally brewed pint etc and Andrea & Pete were ace on this front. The single room that I stayed in was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, lovely recently refurbished ensuite and was more than well equipped & stocked up with essentials & hospitality items. My room was at the back of the building and really was exceptionally quiet as the guest house is central but just set back nicely from the busy nightlife that Blackpool enjoys. Thanks guys, looking forward to returning in the summer.
