We were attending Lollapollooza so this was in an excellent location for that - just 3 stops from the Olympic Stadium on the S9. The S9 runs to Spandau from the airport via the main tourist spots such as Alexanderplatz - so again a good place to say though it takes about 40 mins to get to central Berlin and 1hr 20mins to get to the airport. The hotel is next door to a big shopping centre with lots of food outlets so easy to find something to eat. I would describe the rooms as functional and quiet. We didn’t eat at the property so cannot comment on food provision. The bar had a limited amount of drinks - no red wine when we asked. The staff were fine though when we asked for extra pillows (they only provide one very squishy and not very supportive pillow per guest) it came across that they were slightly annoyed to accommodate our request - but maybe the person had had a bad day.

Location of course, you tumble out the door into the metropole. Also only 1.5km from The Zitadelle which is worth a visit

Classic accommodation in a hotel chain, the room is small but cozy and clean. The breakfast (17 euros per person) is rich and very good quality. I very much appreciate the air conditioning in the room. It is close to the U-bahn and S-banh with good access to the center.
