Starry “Nice people, but the description of hotel was not correct and”

The breakfast, and woman who was working in the breakfast area, were superb. Amazing food and great service. Check in was easy, although first room we were given wasn't ready. Really quick and easily resolved. Room was damp and smelled musty, and bathroom was disappointing. Shower and tub were NOT GOOD. Tub paint was peeling off and the creaking and movement while showering was sort of off-putting. Towels smelled like ant spray and were slightly damp, and there was no fan in bathroom, so walls had buckling paint at top near felling. Main issue was the hotel not having amenities promised when I booked the stay online. There was no restaurant, or onsite dining options, other than the breakfast. The express deal promised onsite dining, restaurant, pool and hot tub (the latter was not in service after the day we checked in, and sign just said closed until further notice). The staff was very gracious and accommodating, but the condition of property itself was nowhere near my expectation, based on what was portrayed on Priceline. I understand construction, but there was nothing mentioned on the hotel's online description. On top of that, without a car we had to walk at night to get food due to the lack of onsite dining options. Awesome staff but I would never have chosen to stay if I'd known that all doors leading to outdoor areas would be taped shut with wet paint signs starting Wednesday morning, the hot tub would be off limits as of Wednesday as well, and the room smelled like mildew and looked like the popcorn ceiling and paint were terribly done. I will be asking Priceline for additional assistance.
