Hotel Overview

Situated in the hills above Lake Thunersee, at 1150 metres above sea level, the chalet-style Hotel Sterne in the Alpine village of Beatenberg offers panoramic views of the Jungfrau peaks.
Most self-catering apartments have fully equipped kitchenettes. Guests of the family-run, English-speaking hotel benefit from free WiFi in all areas. A bus providing connection to Interlaken stops opposite Hotel Sterne.
Interlaken is a 15-minute drive away.

This apartment is located on the first floor and is accessible by stairs. It consists of one bedroom with a double bed, and a living room with two double sofa beds. The apartment also features a kitchenette, a dining area, 1 bathroom and a balcony overlooking the lake. Please note that the apartment has only 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom.

Located on the third floor, this split-level maisonette consists of a bedroom with 3 single beds on the upper level and a living room, a kitchenette and a dining area on the lower level. The unit is fitted with large roof windows, which offer views of the Alps and the Thunersee Lake. It contains 1 bathroom with shower. Please note that the maisonette does not have a private balcony and there are no doors separating the upper and the lower level. The maisonette can only be reached via stairs and is not suitable for families with young children.

Located on the third floor, this split-level suite consists of a bedroom with 3 single beds on the upper level and a living room with two single beds, a kitchenette and a dining area on the lower level. The suite has a private balcony offering views of the Jungfrau peaks and the Thunersee Lake. It contains 1 bathroom with a shower. Please note that there are no doors separating the upper and the lower level. The suite can only be reached via stairs.

Vlad and Aua are truly some of the friendliest Europeans we’ve ever met. They helped us so much during our trip! Originally, we just planned to visit Schilthorn, but thanks to their generous recommendations, we ended up exploring so many beautiful places in Switzerland that we would have never known about. If we ever get the chance to visit again, we’ll definitely come back!

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Waking up to the breathtaking morning view was an unforgettable highlight. The place was well-equipped with a fully functional kitchen and all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended!
