Nestled in 20 acres of the serene Somerset countryside, Homewood Bath is the ultimate staycation destination. Gone are the days of the stuffy old posh hotels with dinner jackets and dresses at dinner. Homewood is firmly in the 21st century - relaxed and friendly without subtracting any of the high standards demanded of a luxury hotel.
Locally sourced produce is at the heart of their restaurant 'Olio', with a large proportion of veggies used throughout the menu being grown on-site at their 'No-Dig Kitchen Garden'. Olio encapsulates the very best of British food with a unique Mediterranean twist. Whether enjoying a feast in the dashing dining domes, indulging in their famous afternoon tea or an amorous Sunday roast with all the trimmings, the emphasis is always on sustainable, often hedgerow fresh ingredients, with a proud, local provenance.

These rooms are spacious and have an Art Deco look and feel, each with their own unique pieces of art. Rooms include oversized wing-back chairs or sofas, and offer views over the gardens. Bathrooms are well stocked with 100 Acres Apothecary bath and body products. A king size Simmons bed is featured. One is decorated in rustic luxe style, with stone and wood clad walls and a seating area, while the other has an Art Deco feel, with its own separate sitting room. Staff were great, afternoon tea was nice and the room with hot tub was fantastic with a great view. I wish we stayed for more than one night to explore the hotel, facilities and surrounding area.
