Located in the night time red light district in La Ramblas (the lower end of La Ramblas nearest to the beach), this compact, trendy 3-star hotel is in a practical & handy location to the Metro stop Drassanes, line 3, exit Portal de Santa Madrona. Also nearby (5 min stroll away) is Palau Güell (one of Gaudi’s earliest projects). The hotel’s reasonably spacious rooms are tastefully decorated & very simple with a small kitchenette complete with a 2-burner electric stovetop, kettle, tea & coffee etc. lock box under sink, fridge with complimentary water, small TV, desk lamps & handy table with chairs. We paid $308AUD pn (≠€170pn). Going back to the room review, the bathroom is modern & compact with a great rain shower, no body lotions, creams or additional toiletries provided- great for a short stay. Buffet breakfast looked good €13, however did not partake. Staff are friendly, helpful, multi-lingual and unpretentious- which make for a very pleasant stay. Will return!
