The hotel is old and grand, with a sense of history and past glory, if a little old fashioned and ever so slightly worn. The staff are great and very pleasant, including the owner, who moseys around muttering incoherent sentences. The bar is nice and old, with a relaxed atmosphere.

This is the older style hotel and appears a little dated in décor. It is located in the main street area and is central if walking around Ballyshannon. The main furniture in our room was a large dark wood wardrobe which might well have been there since the place opened. The staff were great especially the lady in the breakfast room she was an absolute marvel. How she managed to get everyone's orders sorted and keep the buffet topped up was a sight to behold.
