The Stone House has everything that you need for a comfortable holiday. We self catered and found the kitchen facilities perfectly adequate, even for longer stays. The house is very roomy and comfortable and welcoming. The owner has decorated it with all manner of interesting art and curiosities which provide an interesting backdrop but doesn’t get in the way. The owner has provided all the detergents, powders etc and there are a few basic condiments if you are self catering. The bedroom and living room are all very comfortable with plenty of space to spread out and relax. The house is very quiet and there are lovely areas to eat and relax outside. There is parking for one car close to the accommodation and it is relatively easy to find. Our host had no english whatsoever but they were welcoming and friendly. They met us at a nearby square and showed us where we could park near the house and helped carry our luggage from the car to the house. The butcher in the centre of town sells very good meat.

The property is in a great location, just a short 5 minute stroll and you're in the heart of Cunda. The stone house has a lot of character with original stone masonry and lots of archeological artefacts and historical artwork around the home. The host that took care of us during our stay was outstanding, very helpful and accommodating. I loved the kitchen, it is a large kitchen and has all required appliances. This property has a lovely garden area, we would have used the garden area more if the property had a more comfortable sitting area. There is also an area where you can park your car that is close to the home, and this area is best enjoyed if you have a car so you can explore Ayvalik and other beaches and landmarks around the area. Overall, a great property and host service.

Everything, the house is a piece of art, full with hystoric artefacts. The location is great, beautiful and spacious garden, you can find everything you need in the kitchen and the house for a full home stay. The lady that met us showed us everything and recommended places to go. Just be ready to use Google translator as they don't speak any language but Turkish.

There are holiday homes, quickly put together with cheap furniture and basic necessities to turn a property into money as fast as possible. And there are homes rented out for holidays where you can never feel at home because you know the owner was there last week and will be there again the next - you feel their presence at every turn. Stone House with Garden in Cunda is neither, and possibly belong to a category entirely of its own. Depending on the kind of person you are, this could be the best holiday accommodation you will ever stay in. It certainly was for me. This is a beautifully decorated museum of arts, history (both natural and cultural), antiques, culture and a large library of books put together. And it lacks none of the amenities you'd be looking for in a holiday home, in fact it has more. The garden is a beautiful heaven embracing you every time you are in it. This is a holiday home where you feel the time you stay outside as time lost from staying in and admiring the place itself. Yes, the location is ideal; yes, the people looking after the property and helping you at every turn are wonderful people; yes, it is great value for money etc. etc. but you can probably say all these for many other properties. What makes this place different and unique is the way all of the above put together with love and care. It is too difficult to put into words the experience you'll have staying in this property - everyone will have their own unique experience. For us, a family with two younger children (8 and 14, they celebrated their birthdays there) it was an unforgettable experience, soon to be repeated.
