Haris (the host) was fantastic and he made sure we knew how to get to the apartment from the airport, he also sent us photos explaining very clearly how to find the apartment and the keys and how to turn on the hot water. We arrived quite late on our first night, so having all those clear instructions made it really easy. Haris also reassured us that if we needed help finding the apartment, keys or anything at all during our stay, we just needed to message him. The apartment itself looks very similar to the photos and the beds were very comfortable - it had absolutely everything we needed for a short stay including a complimentary bottle of wine and a chocolate cake made by Vasiliki. We felt very spoilt and were sorry we weren't able to finish all of the cake over the weekend that we were there, as it was delicious! The apartment is so close to the Acropolis - less than a 10 minute walk and it was in a quiet area. We discovered some lovely local restaurants a short walk away (in the opposite direction to the Acropolis). The terrace was also lovely and if we had stayed longer, I would have happily spent more time relaxing outside. When I booked the apartment, I didn't realise that the bedroom with the four-poster bed also has a small balcony and a clothes line that was handy for drying our towels. The main bathroom had toiletries and the shower was a good size with great water pressure. The kitchen also had washing up liquid and dishtowels etc. It was also handy having a 2nd toilet. The building and the apartment itself are old and a little run-down but considering the central location and how reasonable the cost was for our stay, I was very impressed and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We had a wonderful time. Haris is a fantastic host, we had the opportunity to check in early, we were given welcome cookies, wine and we were even given a stroller. The apartment is in a very good location and equipped with everything. After sightseeing, coming back here was like coming home, cozy and safe! I highly recommend it!

apartment has perfect location. it is very centre of an amazing city Athens. district is safe. Apartment was clean and there were necessary appliances in it. Host left bottle of wine and chocolate cake and everywhere you see that he cares about environment. Considering that he avoids to use plastic appliances and uses hot water economy use system, which is little bit discomfortable when you are a group but still can be understand.
