We were given a very warm welcome. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the food excellent.

The staff were wonderful and really made our stay, incl the owner/manager. We were walking the Ridgeway and got very wet and soggy and were desperate for a bath/shower and unfortunately something was wrong with the boilers and availability of hot water. This was frustrating but they were so apologetic and eventually sorted things and ran us a bath in another room. In a different place this would have been a big issue but they handled it so well. Aside from that, the beds were comfy and the room fan was a blessing. A few things are a little faded and in need of repair as others have mentioned, but on the whole these don't affect the stay. Lastly, the dinner was really good! And also, the breakfast. All in all, a good choice for the Ridgeway.

Love the charming village, a pub, a church and a village green, and the friendly staff. Great food and breakfast! Firepit and board games available for guests, which gives a great atmosphere. Lots of locals in the evening, it’s so nice.
