Carole “Quick stay but very comfortable”

We weren’t sure if our room would be ready when we arrived mid-afternoon, but as soon as we stepped inside, we were warmly welcomed and handed our key without delay. The room itself was simple yet spacious, with tea and coffee facilities, ample toiletries in the bathroom, and the added bonus of a fridge … which is very useful when travelling. This was our final night after a fortnight touring the islands, with an early ferry the next morning. Breakfast was kindly and promptly prepared for us, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We took a lovely walk in the evening, soaking in the beautiful views. Both of us agreed we’d like to return, as there is still so much in the area we’ve yet to explore. A highlight was our visit to Armadale Castle gardens … peaceful and well-tended … and the museum there, which offers a wealth of insight into the island’s history and the story of Clan Donald.

Arrived tired out and wet and Joanna, the manager, helped us straight up to our room, and gave such a cheery welcome and accommodated our dining needs. It was also the first hotel in 9 days that had a big bathroom and a bath, and a fully king sized bed. Great location and great food.
