A grand historic hotel but a bit tired on the inside. An excellent location right at the station. Good food options nearby.

Room was excellent, lots of facilities, although the shower (in room 101) was quirky, more like a steam spray with the hose not quite long enough. Staff excellent, offered a room card each which is not always an option, helped with directions, parking in the Station car park etc. Location is great, near the station but far enough away to not be disturbed by trains, and a short walk to the castle and other sights for the lovely city.
