The fine print
Please note that the stairs in this building are steep and there is no elevator.Please note that this hotel is situated in a vibrant area along the lively Marnix street. To keep noise disturbance to a minimum, BackStage Hotel recently provided all rooms with double glazed windows. Earpluggs are also available.

Lady at the reception was nice and polite, she even offered to carry our luggage up the steep staircase. Also take note that you have to upgrade to get a private bathroom and there is no A/C so if you’re travelling during the summer do take note of that.

The stuff is incredibly friendly. The location is excellent, you just have to walk 15-20 minutes to be in the heart of the town, or 10 minutes to Jordaan. The Vondelpark is at 5 minutes walk also. The vibe in the hotel is also very nice, with musical instruments and music related things all around you.
