Good cottage, characterful, well equipped, good linen and towels, great to have two bathrooms, outside seating area and parking a short walk from the centre of ambleside.

Good central location for the Lake District. Nice comfortable house which seems to be better equipped than previous reviews suggest. Within walking distance of Ambleside town centre if you don't mind the very steep walk back up the hill. However it is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town that you can avoid the crowds if you want to. Extra star for the Sykes Cottages people who came and rescued my wife in less than 15 mins after she got locked out.
