Please note that Ambleside Townhouse is an old Victorian building with no lift.If guests smoke in their rooms, the guest house may charge up to one night's accommodation as a penalty.Guests are kindly requested to inform the hotel in advance of their estimated time of arrival if they are due to arrive after 20:00. This can be noted in the Comments Box during booking or by contacting the hotel/property using the contact details found on the booking confirmation.Parking spaces are limited and subject to availability.When booking for 4 or more rooms, different policies and charges may apply, and non-refundable payment is required.It may not be possible to accommodate guests in the same room for each consecutive night of their stay.Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Location was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome and lots of useful information given on arrival. The chap on reception even carried my suitcase to my room which was lovely as it was on the top floor and I may have struggled. Despite checking out at 10 am we were told we could leave the car in the car park but to be out by 3 pm checking in time for other guests. This was really helpful.

The main part of the guesthouse seemed very nice and well maintained. I imagine rooms in the main hotel are nice. Breakfast was good and very well organised. Our room was clean and comfortable but not in a good part of the hotel.

Fantastic accommodation, the rooms where very well kept and the hosts couldn't do enough for you, the breakfast was amazing and we would definitely go again.

Clean and comfortable rooms conveniently located near everything in town. Our room had great views, the staff was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious.
