Staff was very friendly. The accomodation is at a tea farm and we were served excellent tea prepared by the farmer. The farm is easily accessed by public transportation (bus from Chiayi). The host even gave us a lift to the bus stop when we were leaving.

The hosts are soooo welcoming and made it really special. Unlimited tea and workshops learning to pick Alishan tea. Lovely walks in the mountains nearby.

The owners were so kind and thoughtful - as soon as we arrived, we were immediately greeted by non-stop cups of oolong. They very kindly arranged transport for us, and had really great recommendations to make travel easier (i.e. bus times, etc.). Breakfast was great, and there are many walks around the property, which I recommend you do at sunrise if the weather allows. It is just a short walk away from the main town (you can easily walk there and back, it's just a little uphill), making it very convenient to reach but also very quiet and peaceful.

Great location close to the tea plantations in the mountains. The family who own this homestay really go out of their way to share their local culture and information about tea growing and tea appreciation. A highlight for us was a special trip into the forest to view the fireflies doing their yearly mating dance at night. This natural event only occurs for 2 weeks each year! It was also easy to mix with the other travellers (From around the world) staying here as we shared communal spaces for eating and relaxing. OK the three legged dog was a great unofficial walking guide too.
