The host Esperanza is a lovely ,helpful lady.Nothing is a problem.She shows guests how to communicate with her when advise is needed and is available 24/7. The flat is very secure and has a super shower and usual fixtures. Good value too.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the BEST place I've ever stayed abroad. This is 100% because of Esperanza. I had read reviews saying she made her guests feel like they were at home and I was sceptical, but they couldn't be more correct! From the second I arrived she was warm and welcoming, even giving me shower gel when she found out I had none. She gave me a tour and showed me how the keys worked, using Google translate on her phone to make sure I understood. She said if needed anything at all to message her immediately and she would help me. I have never been welcomed to a place as amazingly as this, I am still in complete awe of this phenomenal woman. The room is exactly as pictured, with a great shower, and an amazing air con unit which helped me cool down after a long day out sightseeing. Beds were comfortable and towels/blankets were provided in excess. It takes roughly 30/40 minutes to walk to the centre, slightly more to come back as it is uphill. During the day, the Number 8 bus (1.45€ per ticket) runs from the centre, taking only 1 minute to walk from the bus stop to the apartment (I highly recommend this). At night there are plenty of reasonably priced taxis available if you don't want to walk back. The apartment is situated in a lovely area with parks dotted around, lots of cafes available, and children playing, it felt like I got to see a little piece of the real Alicante rather than the overindulged tourist version. The most amazing part came at the end of my trip. I had a flight at 7:50am the following morning, and I needed to book a taxi for very early (4:30am) to ensure I was there with enough time. Rather than googling this, I decided to ask Esperanza if she knew any reliable taxi numbers. Instead of providing me with a number, she insisted on taking me herself, quote "it is not an inconvenience, it would be my pleasure". In the morning she made me coffee before we left, then hugged me goodbye when I got to the airport.
