We stayed at Mercure for a quick overnight stop to break up a 9 hour trip, and would happily stay again for an overnighter. Great location, and within a safe and easy walk to the restaurants, shops and cafes on the main Street. Some elements in the room are a little dated but everything was very clean so this didn’t bother us at all, plus we expected this based on the pictures on the website. It is also reflected in the price, so criticism I have read on other reviews isn’t exactly fair! The beds were very comfortable, and the room generously sized even with 2 large suitcases. Shower was hot and consistent. Plenty of car parking. The evening reception staff member was lovely and very helpful.
