Please note that the camp can only be reached by 4x4. Guests may book a transfer from Al Wasil to the camp at an additional point.Guests are required to show a photo ID and valid Oman visa upon check-in. The hosts are very friendly, kind and make you feel welcome. They go the extra mile for an immersive desert experience. It is traditional and clean. Couldn't hope for more. We will be back for sure

Good stay at the Nomadic Desert Camp. Facilities are rather basic but we slept very well in the tent.

The hospitality was spectacular. We had a really wonderful experience with the family including the sunset camel ride and the full day jeep safari, both of which gave us great insight into life in the desert. We were glad the camp had huts and not tents as they would be too hot. Early April is very hot - would go in the winter next time.

We really enjoyed some aspects of this stay but I do think it would be better to come before or after Ramadan. And although we were comfortable from late afternoon to early morning as there was a breeze, this camp is basic in terms of amenities. No air-conditioning during the day might be uncomfortable, there's no electrical (so no charging your phones etc; no lights in the huts, etc). Bathrooms are separate from the little huts, and the beds were very simple. The food was very good, our host in the morning was lovely and funny and interesting. We enjoyed our stay but, you need to know what the stay is like.
