Beautiful yurt camp in a very beautiful spot by the Issyk-Kul lake. It takes quite a long time (maybe 45 minutes) to get there from the Ak-Say town and the road is quite demanding (4x4 recommended).

This place is just incredible and deserves to be experienced for more than 1 night. I loved so many things: the drive through the canyon to get to the camp, the remote location with stunning views everywhere you look, the kindness of the hosts, the food, swimming in the lake. I had the most memorable stand up paddle experience (600 som) and walking to the canyon viewpoint (an easy 1 hour walk from the camp) was a highlight. Jaw-dropping 360’ views on the canyon, the snow-capped mountains and the lake and almost nobody there. For the meals, they sit travellers according to their language, which, for a solo traveller like me, was very nice. I met lots of nice people over the 3 days I was there. The yurt was very comfortable and the amenities super clean. The digital detox was great for me (I got the odd connection now and then for a couple of min each time). I recommend downloading Russian/Kyrgyz on Google Translate so that you can communicate with the hosts without connection.
