A lovely old house which has been well maintained. The host is extremely gracious, and the home-cooked meals are excellent. Of note, we went in April, when the weather was starting to warm. There are insects that sleep in the wood of the house during the winter, and emerge with the heat and light. They are harmless, and our host provided a small vacuum to remove them, but might be unsettling if unexpected. I therefore recommend visiting in either Summer or Winter when there is nothing to distract you from what is otherwise a very charming setting, and it really is a wonderful place to stay.

Everything was perfect, the house is extraordinary, the host is incomparably kind, we were able to take a bath as in the old days and eat on wood-fired udons. Totemo oishi katta desu! 😋 The host has an app to translate into any language to chat with you, explain many things and also if you need anything, you can ask easily, he is extremely helpful! 🤗 Breakfast was excellent too! 😍 One of our best experiences in Japan! If you want to experience a unique moment, go for it! ❤️
