We absolutely love staying at a true historical hotel, and hope it never changes. Would hate it to become part of a group of hotels. We are parents of University students which year on year average would make up your occupation rate. For it to turn into an international hotel at ridiculous cost would be very sad and very seasonal.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The restaurant staff, however, was the exact opposite. Our final breakfast, before checking out, we just left after 20 minutes of not even being approached by a single waiter to get our order for the warm breakfast. We had some yoghurt,fruit and toast. In the light of the exorbitant cost of our stay, I certainly expect more

Location is in the center, with bars, shops and restaurants around. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good. Old authentic hotel.

Location is excellent, breakfast was excellent, had a superior room on ground floor opening up onto courtyard, it was tastefully appointed, had a modern/recently refurbed bathroom and french doors into the courtyard. A bar fridge was a bonus. The hotel was quiet despite being in the centre of stellenbosch. Wish I had stayed longer!
