Extremely quiet - very glad we decided to stay here rather than the sister reserve Aquila as Aquila is closer to Cape Town - much bigger and takes a lot of day trippers. Because it’s a 2.5 hour drive to Inverdoorm they only do overnight safaris. Drinks on arrival then a really nice buffet lunch then a couple of hours at leisure. We had one of the ambassador suites (only 5 of these) which are stunning inside with incredible views and your own pool. Both the afternoon and evening game drives were great plus star gazing after dinner (a buffet again). We also had a couples massage in our room which was excellent. We saw lots on the game drives - this being the advantage of it being a small price reserve - you are guaranteed to see the animals because the area is small (though doesn’t feel it) and because they put grass down for the animals. The lions are in a separate reserve and they are fed in the morning so again pretty much guaranteed sightings. The cheetahs are in quite a small separate reserve which did seem small for the animals. So, it’s not Kruger but if you want a guaranteed viewing of the big 5 in a fabulous location you can’t go wrong but be mindful that it is a small private reserve.

was a great experience. a short drive from cape town which is what we were looking for. we booked a transfer from the hotel, it arrived on time and was very comfortable. the room looks better than in the pictures, it was spacious and very clean. the food was great, especially the breakfast. the safari was amazing, it was our first experience, we saw all the animals very close, our ranger Ashley was very professional. also included a lot of nice bonuses, such as free welcome drinks, star experience at night was very beautiful.

What a superb experience. Worth the drive out of Cape Town. The staff are attentive and the driver (Ashlee) was so knowledgeable about the animals and also on the Stargazing trip! Good food and an unforgettable stay! Thank you.

Great safari lodge for overnight stay. Very intense agenda, all perfectly planned and organised. Good breakfast and dinner. Very beautiful chalets.
